Emma Raducanu has launched a new vegan deodorant range, 'The Garden of England' collection, just five days before Wimbledon begins. The 23-year-old tennis star revealed her latest business venture on Instagram.
What is the new deodorant range?
The range of personal hygiene products has been created in collaboration with vegan cosmetic company Wild. Raducanu said the collection is inspired by her Kent upbringing.
The 'Garden of England' collection has several different scents, including notes of fresh green leaves, rhubarb, and rose petals. Raducanu revealed the new range in a social media post, saying it "really smells like summer and feels like home".
Why is this launch significant for Emma Raducanu?
The launch comes as Raducanu prepares for Wimbledon, where she is seeded No. 30 for the Grand Slam. The 2021 US Open champion will hope to keep up her good form on grass.
Raducanu reached the Queen's final last week but fell to Donna Vekic in straight sets. Re-appointing coach Andrew Richardson has so far resulted in an improvement in results.
What do experts think of Raducanu's coaching decision?
Tim Henman, the former world No. 4, shares a close relationship with Richardson and spoke of his shock when Raducanu opted to remove him from her coaching staff. Henman said: "I was surprised she chose not to work with him."
Raducanu has yet to reach beyond the fourth round of a Slam since winning the US Open. Henman was asked whether the historic victory hindered her on-court development. He explained: "It was so unexpected because no one had ever qualified and made the final of a Slam, let alone qualified and won it."
What's next for Emma Raducanu?
With Wimbledon just days away, Raducanu will hope to build on her recent form and make a deep run in the tournament. The 'Garden of England' collection is available in deodorant, antiperspirant, and body wash, only in the UK.
Raducanu's announcement read: "Let me know what you guys think if you try it out!" The new range is inspired by her favourite memories of being outside in Kent. Raducanu's fans will be eager to try out the new products and support her at Wimbledon.
